New Orleans-based software and service company Align said Wednesday that it landed nearly $2.2 million in funding and plans to hire up to 30 people over the next 15 to 20 months.
The company plans to hire across software development, project management, marketing and sales positions for its cloud-based business operating system.
“This level of investment demonstrates confidence in the company, the product and the market opportunity,” CEO Doug Walner said in a statement.

Local software firm hiring after raising millions in private funding
New Orleans software startup Align Technologies Corp. is looking to scale its business after securing over $2 million in a Series A round of funding.
New Orleans-based investors account for one-third of the capital raised, the company said Wednesday.
The cloud-based business operating system is hiring up to 30 software development, project management and marketing and sales positions.
Align said it has over 8,000 users in over 64 countries. It was founded in 2012 to help businesses scale by “keeping employees in sync and focusing on accomplishing company priorities,” according to a news release.
Align software uses “organized daily and weekly huddles, a paperless one-page strategic plan and cross-departmental information sharing” to help companies accomplish their goals, the news release said.Read More
