Types of Alerts You Can Set

Align offers two categories of alerts: Built-in Alerts and Personal Alerts.

Built-In Alerts

These notifications keep you informed about updates and progress across your team and tasks. Built-in alerts include:

  • Task Updates:
    • When someone assigns you a task.
    • When a task is due today.
    • When someone changes the due date of a task you assigned to them.
    • When someone completes a task you assigned to them.
  • Support Requests:
    • When someone is stuck and needs your help.
    • When someone removes a “stuck” where you were listed as the helper.
  • Performance Summaries:
    • A weekly summary of your action items and progress.
    • A weekly summary of company performance – with an AI Summary to provide key insights (Admin Only Feature).
    • Optionally include an individual performance section (Admin Only Feature).

Personal Alerts

Personal alerts are ideal for tracking specific Align habits and milestones. You can create alerts for:

  2. Scroll to Alert Settings and find the “Personal Alerts” section.
  3. Click the + next to “Create a New Alert.”
  4. Select the type of alert you want and set a specific time and day, if applicable.
  5. Save your profile to activate the alert.

Weekly Summary Performance Emails

Admin Only Feature

Align’s Weekly Summary Performance Email is a powerful tool for admins to stay on top of team performance. Delivered on Monday mornings, this email provides a digestible overview of your team’s progress and includes an AI Summary for added insights. Here’s what the email covers:

  • Current Status of Company Priorities:
    • See where your company stands with its primary goals.
  • Annual Initiatives for the Current Period:
    • A summary of annual initiatives to keep long-term objectives in focus.
  • Company Critical Number Status and Week-Over-Week Changes:
    • Track key metrics and their progression.
  • Company Performance Metrics:
    • A snapshot of overall performance to gauge alignment and success.

To activate this email:

  1. Go to your Profile.
  2. Turn it on in the Alert Settings section.

Optional: Include Individual Performance

Admins can choose to include an Individual Performance section in the email. This portion provides a breakdown of performance metrics for each team member, offering deeper insights into individual contributions.

Integration with Slack

If you use Slack to communicate with your team, you can enable Slack notifications for a seamless workflow. Alerts will be delivered directly to your Slack workspace alongside your regular email notifications. To set this up, make sure the Slack integration is enabled in Align.
